Description

Composition, to me, is both creation and discovery. The works in this collection reflect my exploration of jazz, contemporary music, and Iranian musical traditions, bringing together influences that have shaped my artistic voice over the years.
Several pieces, including Darench Jan and Dokhtar-e Boyr Ahmadi, are inspired by Iranian folk melodies and concepts developed through my research on Iranian Fusion Music at Berklee College of Music. Other works are drawn from my recent piano compositions, originally conceived for ensemble performance and presented here in solo piano form.
Improvisation remains an essential element of these compositions. While some sections provide complete freedom, others invite performers to improvise within specific harmonic and structural frameworks.
I am deeply grateful to my teacher, Polo Ortí, and to Berklee College of Music for their guidance and inspiration. I hope this collection encourages musicians to explore new creative possibilities and contributes to the ongoing dialogue between jazz and diverse musical traditions.
